There have been several interested parties for the Gera "Kuckucksdiele", which has been closed since autumn 2022, and discussions are still underway with some of them. However, the traditional restaurant in Heinrichsgrün with over 100 years of history has not yet been sold.
Marcel Weidener from Weidener Immobilien said this when asked. The Gera-based company was entrusted with the marketing of the forest restaurant on Faulenzerweg after the death of the long-time innkeeper and owner.
The restaurant with 200 seats inside and 100 outside, with an operator's apartment and around 4000 square meters of land is not to be rented out or leased out, but only sold, that is still the situation, says Weidener. The purchase price for the restaurant, which was first mentioned in 1915 in connection with an allotment garden, remains unchanged at 999,000 euros.
